don't care if muslin is used for wrapping dead people (so one of our lecturers kindly enlighted us), it is THE best for sewing! Using lots of it this term because of the many toiles that we are making.

The best part - no overlocking! (finishing for raw seams) Turn up the hem of your T shirt and you'll see what I mean - those stitches are not made by a regular sewing machine..another machine called a serger or overlock machine is required - It uses 3 or 4 threads versus the regular 1 on a sewing machine PLUS it is horribly complicated to thread so you can imagine..anyway no overlocking = WHOO HOO!
